Getting There

    From Christchurch City Centre, head to the Bus Interchange located at 37 Lichfield Street. Take the 'Akaroa Shuttle' which departs from this interchange. The journey to Akaroa takes approximately 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Akaroa, disembark at the main bus stop on Rue Jolie. From there, the Garden of Tane is a short 10-minute walk. Head southeast on Rue Jolie, and you will find the entrance to the Garden of Tane on your left.

    Take the train from Christchurch Railway Station to Little River Station. This scenic route offers beautiful views of the countryside. Upon arrival at Little River, head to the Little River Café and take the local bus service to Akaroa. Once in Akaroa, get off at the main bus stop on Rue Jolie.
