From Christchurch City Centre, head to the Bus Interchange located at 37 Lichfield Street. Purchase a ticket for the 'Akaroa' bus service, which departs regularly. The bus ride will take approximately 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Akaroa, get off at the main bus stop on Rue Lavaud.

From the bus stop on Rue Lavaud, walk down Rue Lavaud towards the waterfront. Turn right onto Beach Road and continue walking until you reach the junction with Rue Balguerie. Turn left onto Rue Balguerie, and Pōhatu penguins/Plunge NZ Ltd will be located in the Wildside Booking Office at 3/8 Rue Balguerie, which is just a short walk away.
