From the city center of Dunedin, start at the Octagon. Head northwest on George Street, walking towards the North Dunedin area. Turn right onto Albany Street and continue straight until you reach the intersection with North Road. Turn left onto North Road. Follow North Road until you see the sign for Bethune's Gully on your left. The entrance is located at the intersection with Normanby Road.

From the Octagon, take bus number 3 (Green Island) from the bus stop on George Street. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop at Normanby Road.
