If you are starting from the Dunedin city center, walk towards the Octagon, which is the central square of Dunedin. From the Octagon, head north along George Street. Continue on George Street until you reach the intersection with Stuart Street. Turn left onto Stuart Street and follow it until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Lovelock Avenue. Continue along Lovelock Avenue for about 1 kilometer, and you will see the entrance to the Dunedin Botanic Garden on your right. The Aviary is located inside the gardens.
