Walking
If you are starting from the Dunedin city center, walk towards the Octagon, which is the central square of Dunedin. From the Octagon, head north along George Street. Continue on George Street until you reach the intersection with Stuart Street. Turn left onto Stuart Street and follow it until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Lovelock Avenue. Continue along Lovelock Avenue for about 1 kilometer, and you will see the entrance to the Dunedin Botanic Garden on your right. The Aviary is located inside the gardens.

Public Transport
From the Octagon, you can catch the bus number 24 or 25 from the bus stop on George Street. These buses head towards the Botanic Garden. Get off at the stop named 'Botanic Garden Entrance'. Once you exit the bus, walk down the path into the garden. The Aviary is situated within the gardens, follow the signs to reach it.

Bicycle
If you're renting a bicycle, start at the Octagon and head north along George Street. Continue until you reach the intersection with Stuart Street. Turn left onto Stuart Street and follow it to the roundabout. Take the first exit onto Lovelock Avenue, and cycle along for about 1 kilometer. Look for the entrance to Dunedin Botanic Garden on your right. There are bike racks available near the entrance where you can secure your bicycle.
