Walking
If you are in the central area of Dunedin, start your journey at the Octagon, the heart of the city. Head north along Princes Street until you reach the intersection with Moray Place. Continue straight onto Great King Street. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you'll arrive at the junction with the Botanic Garden entrance on your right. Enter the Botanic Garden and follow the signs towards the Water Garden, which is located within the garden grounds.

Public Transport - Bus
From the Octagon, walk to the nearest bus stop and catch the 'Route 1' or 'Route 2' bus towards the Botanic Garden. The journey takes about 10-15 minutes. Get off at the 'Botanic Garden' stop. Once you arrive, you will have a short walk through the garden entrance to reach the Water Garden area. Follow the path signs within the garden.

Walking from the University of Otago
If you are at the University of Otago, exit the campus and head north onto Union Street. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Great King Street. Turn left and walk for about 10 minutes until you see the Botanic Garden entrance on your left. Enter the garden and follow the signs to the Water Garden.
