Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Dunedin. Head to Moray Place and take a left onto Princes Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Wharf Street. Turn left onto Wharf Street. Steamer Basin will be located on your right at 16 Wharf Street. There is street parking available nearby, but be sure to check for any parking restrictions.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take the bus from the Dunedin city center. Bus routes 1, 2, or 3 can take you towards the city center. Get off at the bus stop near Moray Place. From there, walk towards Princes Street and turn left. Continue on Princes Street until you reach the intersection with Wharf Street. Turn left onto Wharf Street, and you will find Steamer Basin at 16 Wharf Street, just a short walk away.
Walking
If you are already in the Central Dunedin area, walking is a pleasant option. From the Octagon, head down George Street towards the waterfront. When you reach the intersection with Princes Street, turn left. Continue straight until you reach Wharf Street, where you will turn left. Steamer Basin will be on your right at 16 Wharf Street. The walk is approximately 15-20 minutes and provides a great view of the city.
