Getting There

Public Bus
Start at the Dunedin City Centre. Head to the closest bus stop, which is located near the Octagon. Take the bus route 14 (which goes towards Portobello) from the bus stop on George Street. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes, and get off at the Broad Bay stop. From the bus stop, walk along the main road (Portobello Road) towards the coast. After approximately 10 minutes, you will reach a small path that leads down to the beach where Pineapple Rock is located. Follow this path, and you will see the rock formation ahead.

If you are already in the Broad Bay area, head towards the waterfront along the local roads. Follow the signs to the beach. Walk along the beach towards the northeast direction, keeping the water to your left. After about 15 minutes, you will come across Pineapple Rock, which is situated just offshore.
