Getting There

• Public Bus

  From Hamilton, you can take the bus service provided by the Hamilton City Transport. Board the bus at the Hamilton Transport Centre located at 1 Bryce Street, Hamilton. Look for the bus routes that head towards Raglan. You may need to transfer buses depending on the schedule, but the most common route is to take the bus heading towards Raglan and get off at the stop nearest to Kawhia Road. Once you disembark, follow Kawhia Road north until you reach the Bridal Veil Falls track entrance.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer biking, rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Hamilton. Start your journey from the Hamilton City Centre and head towards Te Awamutu Road. Follow the cycle path alongside the road heading towards Raglan. This scenic route will take you through beautiful landscapes. Continue on until you reach Kawhia Road; follow it until you see the signs for Bridal Veil Falls. The ride is approximately 40 km and may take around 2-3 hours, depending on your cycling speed.

• Walking

  For the adventurous, walking from Hamilton to Bridal Veil Falls is possible but will require a considerable amount of time and stamina. Start from the Hamilton City Centre, walking towards Te Awamutu Road. Follow the road southwest, then connect with Kawhia Road. It’s a long trek, approximately 50 km, so prepare for a full day of walking. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring plenty of water and snacks. The route takes you through some beautiful countryside, but it is recommended to start early in the morning.

• Ride Sharing

  Consider using a ride-sharing service like Uber or Lyft. Open the app and set your destination to 'Bridal Veil Falls' or the address 'Kawhia Road, Makomako 3895'. The driver will take you directly to the entrance of the falls. This is a convenient option if you are traveling with a group and want to share the cost. The journey should take around 45 minutes depending on traffic.
