Start at Hamilton Transport Centre, located at 36 Bryce Street. From here, take the bus route 15 towards Temple View. The bus will stop at various locations along the way. Stay on the bus for approximately 25 minutes until you reach the Temple View stop. Once you get off, walk south on Temple View Drive for about 10 minutes, and you will arrive at the entrance of Barrett Bush Scenic Reserve.

Bicycle
Begin your journey at the Hamilton CBD. Ride towards the south along Victoria Street, which transitions into a cycleway. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Wairere Drive. Turn left onto Wairere Drive and cycle for approximately 2 kilometers. Next, turn right onto Temple View Drive. After cycling for about 1 kilometer, you will find the entrance to Barrett Bush Scenic Reserve on your right.

If you're starting from the Hamilton Gardens, head east towards the main entrance on Hungerford Crescent. Exit the gardens and turn right onto Cobham Drive. Walk along Cobham Drive for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the Wairere Drive intersection. Cross over and continue walking along Wairere Drive for another 1.5 kilometers. When you reach the Temple View Drive intersection, turn left and walk for about 500 meters to the entrance of Barrett Bush Scenic Reserve.
