From the center of Frankton, head southeast on Commerce Street toward Grey Street. Continue straight onto McGowan Street. After about 1.2 kilometers, you will reach the Hamilton Lake area. Follow the path around the lake towards the south until you arrive at Innes Common, where Balloons over Waikato is located. The total walking distance is approximately 1.5 kilometers, and it should take around 20 minutes.

You can catch a bus from Frankton to Hamilton CBD. Board the bus at the nearest bus stop on Commerce Street. Take either the 'Route 1' or 'Route 2' bus towards the Hamilton Transport Centre. The fare is approximately NZD 2.50. Once you arrive at the Hamilton Transport Centre, exit the bus and walk towards the lake, following the signs for Hamilton Lake. It is about a 15-minute walk from there to Innes Common, where Balloons over Waikato is located.
