If you are in the central area of Invercargill, start by heading to the main bus terminal on Don Street. From there, walk east along Don Street until you reach the intersection with Tay Street. Turn right onto Tay Street and continue walking south until you reach the intersection with the Southland Expressway (State Highway 1). Cross the Southland Expressway with care. Continue straight along a footpath that leads you into the Prestonville area. You will see signs indicating the direction to Thomsons Bush. Follow the footpath signs until you arrive at Thomsons Bush, located at Prestonville, Invercargill 9810.

From the Invercargill central bus terminal, take a local bus that heads towards the Prestonville area. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the latest routes. Once on the bus, inform the driver you want to stop at Prestonville. The bus will drop you off along Tay Street. From there, walk south along Tay Street until you reach the intersection with the Southland Expressway. Cross at the pedestrian crossing, then follow the footpath signs towards Thomsons Bush, which is approximately a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.
