If you are traveling by car, start your journey in Palmerston North, the largest city in the Manawatu-Wanganui region. Head north on SH 3 towards Wanganui. Continue on SH 3 for approximately 80 km until you reach the junction with SH 4. Take the exit onto SH 4 heading towards Raetihi. Continue on SH 4 for about 30 km until you reach Raetihi. Once in Raetihi, turn onto Seddon Street. Mākōtuku Track is located at 1 Seddon Street, Raetihi 4632. Parking is available nearby.

If you're using public transportation, take a bus from Palmerston North to Wanganui. From Wanganui, you can catch a connecting bus to Raetihi. Check the local bus schedules for departure times as they can vary. Once you arrive in Raetihi, you can either walk to Mākōtuku Track, which is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop, or use a local taxi service to reach 1 Seddon Street directly. Note that taxi services may incur an additional cost.
