From the Masterton town centre, walk to the Masterton Transport Centre located at 1 Queen Street. Catch the bus heading to Martinborough; it takes about 30 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off at Huangarua Road. Once you get off, walk approximately 5 minutes down Huangarua Road, and Margrain Vineyard will be on your right at 5 Huangarua Road.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Masterton. Head south on Queen Street, then take a left onto Lincoln Road. Follow Lincoln Road until it turns into the South Wairarapa Road, which will lead you directly to Martinborough. As you approach Martinborough, take a right onto Huangarua Road. Margrain Vineyard is located at 5 Huangarua Road, about 3 km from the main road.
Walking
If you're feeling adventurous, you can walk from Masterton to Martinborough. Start from the Masterton town centre and head southeast on Queen Street. Continue straight until you reach the South Wairarapa Road. Follow this road for about 20 km. Once you reach Martinborough, turn right onto Huangarua Road, and Margrain Vineyard will be at 5 Huangarua Road, about a 10-minute walk from the main road.
