From the Napier city center, head east on Marine Parade towards the beach. After a short walk, turn left onto the promenade along the beachfront. Continue walking along the promenade until you reach the end of the beach. At the intersection with the Ahuriri Estuary, you will see signs directing you towards the walking track. Follow the signs to the Ahuriri Estuary walking track, which will lead you into the estuary area.

If you have access to a bike, start from the Napier city center and make your way to Marine Parade. Follow the same route as for walking, but take advantage of the bike-friendly paths along the promenade. Once you reach the end of the beach, look for signs leading to the Ahuriri Estuary walking track. The bike ride will provide a quicker route to the estuary while allowing you to enjoy the scenic views.

Use the local bus service to reach Ahuriri. From the Napier city center, catch a bus heading towards Ahuriri. Get off at the nearest stop to the estuary, which should be clearly marked. Once you disembark, follow the signs towards Ahuriri Estuary, which should be within walking distance. Alternatively, ask the bus driver for assistance in finding the closest stop to Ahuriri Estuary.
