Head northwest on State Highway 1 (SH1) for approximately 2 hours until you reach the junction with State Highway 85 (SH85) near the town of Oamaru. Take the exit onto SH85 towards Alexandra. Continue on SH85 for about 1 hour until you reach Alexandra. From Alexandra, take State Highway 8 (SH8) toward Clyde. After about 10 minutes, turn onto Symes Road, which is located near the Fruitlands area. Mitchell's Cottage will be located at 100 Symes Road, Fruitlands 9392, on your left.
