    If you're driving, start your journey from Dunedin. Head south on State Highway 1 (SH1) for about 23 kilometers until you reach the turnoff for State Highway 87 (SH87) towards Balclutha. Continue on SH87 until you reach Balclutha, then take SH1 south again. After approximately 60 kilometers, take a left onto Catlins Road (also known as Nugget Point Road). Follow this road until you reach The Nuggets Road, where you will find signage directing you to Nugget Point Lighthouse, located at the end of the road. The total drive from Dunedin will take about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic and stops along the way.
