From Dunedin, take State Highway 1 north for approximately 45 km until you reach the intersection with State Highway 85. Turn right onto State Highway 85 and follow it for about 65 km. As you approach the town of Oturehua, keep an eye out for Reef Road. Turn left onto Reef Road, and the Golden Progress Mine will be located a short distance down this road. There is no entrance fee to access the site.
