After about 7 km, take the exit towards Port Chalmers and continue on State Highway 88. After approximately 4 km, turn left onto Mount Cargill Road. Follow this road for about 3 km until you reach the entrance to the Mount Cargill track. There is no entrance fee, but ensure your vehicle is parked in designated areas to avoid fines.
