    Start your journey at the Palmerston North City Library located at 4-6 George Street. Exit the library and head northwest on George Street towards Main Street. Turn right onto Main Street and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Fitzherbert Avenue. Cross Fitzherbert Avenue and continue along Main Street until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Fitzherbert Avenue. Walk straight for about 1 km, then turn left onto Cliff Road. Continue walking along Cliff Road for about 500 meters, and you will arrive at Te Motu o Poutoa, located on your right.

    From the Palmerston North City Library, walk to the nearest bus stop located on Main Street. Catch the bus number 12 or 14 heading towards Fitzherbert.
