Starting from the Queenstown Gardens, head south towards the intersection with Park Street. At the intersection, turn right onto Park Street and continue straight until you reach the end, where it merges with Camp Street. Continue along Camp Street until you reach the junction with Shotover Street. Turn left onto Shotover Street, and then take a right onto Gorge Road. Follow Gorge Road until you reach the entrance of the Queenstown Hill Walking Track. Here, you will begin a scenic hike that typically takes about 1.5 to 2 hours to reach Basket of Dreams. Follow the trail signs and enjoy the views as you ascend. The Basket of Dreams is located at the top of Queenstown Hill, marked by a unique installation that can be seen from multiple points along the trail.

From the Queenstown town center, locate the nearest bus stop and take the bus that services the Queenstown Hill route. Inform the driver you wish to get off at the Queenstown Hill Walking Track stop. Once you disembark, follow the signs to the Queenstown Hill Walking Track entrance. This path leads directly to the Basket of Dreams, taking approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to hike up.
