Walking
From Queenstown's city center, start at the Queenstown Gardens located near the waterfront. Exit the gardens and head towards Stanley Street. Walk down Stanley Street until you reach the intersection with Frankton Road. Turn left onto Frankton Road and continue walking. You’ll pass several shops and cafes along the way. After about 30 minutes of walking, keep an eye out for the signs directing you to Kawarau Falls Scenic Reserve. The reserve is located at Frankton, and you will need to walk a bit further until you reach the entrance.

Public Transport - Bus
From the Queenstown Bus Station, you can take the 'Glenorchy' or 'Frankton' bus. Make sure to check the current schedule as it may vary. Get off at the Frankton stop. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk to Kawarau Falls Scenic Reserve. Head east along Frankton Road, and look for the signs that lead you to the reserve entrance.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many rental shops in Queenstown. Start at the Queenstown waterfront and follow the cycle path along the shores of Lake Wakatipu towards Frankton. After approximately 4 kilometers, you will reach Frankton Road. Continue straight until you see the signs for Kawarau Falls Scenic Reserve. The ride should take around 20-30 minutes, depending on your pace.
