Begin your journey from Queenstown's town center, located at the intersection of Shotover Street and Camp Street. Head southwest on Camp Street towards the lake, then take a left onto Beach Street. Continue along Beach Street until you reach the intersection with Rees Street. Turn right onto Rees Street, which will lead you towards the Queenstown Gardens. Follow Rees Street until it merges into Man Street, and then continue straight onto the path that leads towards the base of Queenstown Hill. Look for the sign marking the Queenstown Hill Walking Track. The trail will take you to the summit with stunning views of Lake Wakatipu and the surrounding mountains.

From the Queenstown town center, make your way to the nearest bus stop located on Camp Street. Catch the local bus that services the Queenstown Hill area. The bus route may vary, so check the current bus schedule and the appropriate stop to get off. Disembark at the stop closest to the Queenstown Hill Walking Track entrance. From there, follow the path leading up to Queenstown Hill Summit. Look for the signage directing you to the walking track.
