Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from Queenstown's main street (Shotover Street), head south towards the lakefront. Once you reach the lake (about a 5-10 minute walk), turn left and walk along the shore. Continue walking along the waterfront until you reach the intersection with Beach Street. Turn right onto Beach Street and continue walking for about 5 minutes. Southern Discoveries - Queenstown Visitor Centre will be on your left at St Omer Wharf, 110 Beach Street.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  From any bus stop in Queenstown, board a bus heading towards the Queenstown town centre. Get off at the Lakefront bus stop. From there, walk towards the water, turn left and follow the lakefront path until you reach Beach Street. Turn right onto Beach Street and walk for about 5 minutes. The Southern Discoveries - Queenstown Visitor Centre will be on your left at St Omer Wharf, 110 Beach Street.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  If you prefer a more direct option, you can call a taxi or use a rideshare app. Simply input 'Southern Discoveries - Queenstown Visitor Centre' or 'St Omer Wharf, 110 Beach Street, Queenstown' as your destination. The drivers in Queenstown are generally familiar with local attractions, so they will take you directly to the visitor centre.

  If you have access to a bicycle, you can ride along the Lake Wakatipu waterfront. Start from the Queenstown Gardens area or the main street, and follow the path that runs along the lake. As you approach Beach Street, look for signs directing you to the visitor centre. Once you reach Beach Street, head right and you will find the Southern Discoveries - Queenstown Visitor Centre at St Omer Wharf, 110 Beach Street.
