Experience Fifeshire Rock

Getting There

  • Car

    If you're starting from Nelson city, drive south on State Highway 6 towards Richmond. Continue on State Highway 6 until you reach the junction for State Highway 60. Take the exit towards State Highway 60 and continue on this road. After approximately 10 kilometers, turn left onto Rocks Road. Follow Rocks Road which will become The Cliffs Road. Continue driving until you see signs for Fifeshire Rock. There is limited parking available along the roadside near the viewing area.

    From Nelson city, take the local bus service that heads towards Tahunanui. Check the local bus schedule as it may vary. You will need to get off at the stop closest to the entrance of Rocks Road. From there, it is about a 30-minute walk to Fifeshire Rock along The Cliffs Road. Alternatively, you can use a taxi service from the bus stop for a quicker option, which will incur additional costs.
