Walking
From the Nelson city center, head towards the intersection of Trafalgar Street and Hardy Street. Walk east on Trafalgar Street until you reach the Nelson Provincial Museum. Continue walking straight to reach the intersection with Bridge Street. Turn left onto Bridge Street and follow it until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Haven Road. Follow Haven Road until you reach the third roundabout, then take the first exit onto Beach Road. Continue on Beach Road, which will turn into Atawhai Drive. Follow Atawhai Drive until you reach the intersection with Britannia Heights Road. At the intersection, turn left onto Britannia Heights Road and walk uphill. Moncrieff Reserve will be on your right, just before you reach the top of the hill.

From the Nelson city center, head to the bus stop located near the Nelson Market on Montgomery Square. Take the Bus Route 1 towards Atawhai. The bus will take you along Atawhai Drive. Get off at the stop nearest to the intersection with Britannia Heights Road. From there, it’s a short walk uphill on Britannia Heights Road to Moncrieff Reserve, which will be on your right.
