Bus
To reach the Geraldine Visitor Centre at 38 Waihi Terrace, catch the bus from Timaru to Geraldine. The bus departs from the Timaru Bus Station located at 1-3 Latter Street. Make sure to check the schedule for the latest departure times. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Geraldine bus stop, exit and walk towards the main street, Talbot Street. Turn left onto Talbot Street and walk straight for about 500 meters until you reach Waihi Terrace. Turn right on Waihi Terrace and the Visitor Centre will be on your left.

If you are in central Timaru and prefer walking, head towards the Timaru Bus Station at 1-3 Latter Street to catch a bus to Geraldine as mentioned above. Walking directly to Geraldine from Timaru is not practical due to the distance (approximately 30 km). Instead, use public transport for a more convenient and quicker option.
