Car
If you're traveling by car, start on State Highway 1 (SH1) from your location in Waikato. Follow SH1 until you reach the Ngāruawāhia exit. Take the exit towards Ngāruawāhia and merge onto Great South Road. Continue straight onto Hakarimata Road, which will lead you to the Hakarimata Scenic Reserve. The designated parking area is located at the end of Hakarimata Road. The drive typically takes about 30 minutes from Hamilton.
