Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in central Wanaka, start at the Wanaka i-SITE Visitor Centre located on Ardmore Street. Head south down Ardmore Street, passing cafes and shops on your left. Continue straight for about 800 meters until you reach the intersection with Dungarvon Street. Cross the road at the pedestrian crossing and continue along Ardmore Street, where you'll start to see views of Lake Wānaka. The Wānaka Lakefront is located directly at the end of Ardmore Street where it meets the lake.

  • Cycling

    From the Wanaka i-SITE Visitor Centre, rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops. After picking up your bike, head south on Ardmore Street, following the same route as pedestrians. Cycling along the lakeside path will give you a beautiful view of the mountains and lake. Continue until you reach the end of Ardmore Street, where you will find the Wānaka Lakefront.

  • Public Transport

    Check the local bus schedule at the Wanaka i-SITE Visitor Centre.
