If you are in the Wellington Central area, start by heading towards the waterfront. From the Wellington Waterfront, walk north along the waterfront promenade until you reach Jervois Quay. Turn left onto Jervois Quay and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Johnston Street. Turn right onto Johnston Street, and you will find Escape Mate located at 12 Johnston Street on your left.

If you prefer to take public transport, find the nearest bus stop that services routes along Wakefield Street or Lambton Quay. Take a bus that heads towards the Wellington Central area. You will want to alight at the stop closest to Johnston Street (look for signs that indicate stops for Johnston Street). Once you get off the bus, walk down Johnston Street towards the waterfront for about 5 minutes, and you will find Escape Mate at 12 Johnston Street.

Cable Car and Walking
For a scenic route, take the Wellington Cable Car from Lambton Quay. Enjoy the views as you ascend to the Kelburn lookout. Once you reach the top, exit the cable car station. Walk down the path towards the city center, which will lead you back to Lambton Quay. When you get back to Lambton Quay, walk to the nearest intersection which is with Johnston Street. Turn left onto Johnston Street and continue walking until you reach Escape Mate at 12 Johnston Street.
