If you're starting from Te Papa Tongarewa (the national museum), exit the museum and head north on Cable Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Wakefield Street. Turn left onto Wakefield Street and walk until you reach Lambton Quay. From Lambton Quay, turn right and walk approximately 10 minutes until you see the Wellington Cable Car entrance at 280 Lambton Quay.

If you're near the Wellington Waterfront, head to the bus stop on the corner of Jervois Quay and Whitmore Street. Board bus number 20 or 21 towards Karori Park. After about a 10-minute ride, get off at the Lambton Quay stop. From there, walk south on Lambton Quay for about 5 minutes, and you will arrive at the Wellington Cable Car at 280 Lambton Quay.

From Wellington Railway Station, exit the station and turn left onto Bunny Street. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Lambton Quay. Turn left onto Lambton Quay and walk for about 15 minutes. You will find the Wellington Cable Car entrance at 280 Lambton Quay on your left.

If you're in the Cuba Street area, head south on Cuba Street until you reach the intersection with Ghuznee Street. Turn left onto Ghuznee Street and continue until you reach Lambton Quay.
