If you are starting from Wellington's central bus station, exit the station and head southwest on Bunny Street. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Victoria Street. Turn left onto Victoria Street and walk for about 5 minutes, passing the Wellington Railway Station on your left. Once you reach the intersection with Willeston Street, turn right. Walk along Willeston Street until you reach the intersection with Bowen Street. Turn left onto Bowen Street, and you will find the Wellington Cenotaph at 1 Bowen Street, just a short walk ahead on your left.

If you are at Te Papa Museum, exit the museum and head northeast towards Cable Street. Turn left onto Cable Street and walk along the waterfront for approximately 15 minutes. You will pass the Wellington Waterfront area and several cafes. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Jervois Quay. Cross the road and continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Wakefield Street. Turn left onto Wakefield Street, then take the first right onto Bowen Street. The Wellington Cenotaph will be a short distance ahead on your right at 1 Bowen Street.

If you are at the Wellington Botanic Garden, exit the garden from the main entrance and head down the hill on the path towards Upland Road. At the bottom of the hill, turn left onto Glenmore Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Tinakori Road. Turn right onto Tinakori Road and walk until you reach the intersection with Bowen Street. Turn left onto Bowen Street, and you will find the Wellington Cenotaph at 1 Bowen Street, just a short stroll ahead on your left.
