Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from Wellington's city center, begin by heading south on Willis Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Boulcott Street. Turn left onto Boulcott Street and then take another left onto Victoria Street. Follow Victoria Street as it curves and turns into Buckle Street. The Pacific Islands Memorial will be on your left at 18 Buckle Street, Te Aro, Wellington 6011. The walk should take approximately 15-20 minutes.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  From the Wellington Central Bus Station, take the bus number 14 or 22 heading towards Kilbirnie. Get off at the stop on Buckle Street, which is near the intersection with Victoria Street. After disembarking, walk a short distance along Buckle Street towards the southwest. The Pacific Islands Memorial will be on your right at 18 Buckle Street, Te Aro, Wellington 6011. The total travel time should be around 25-30 minutes, including waiting time for the bus.

  If you have access to a bike, you can cycle from the city center. Start on Wakefield Street heading south, then turn left onto Cambridge Terrace. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Buckle Street. The cycling route should take approximately 10-15 minutes, depending on your speed.
