From your location in West Coast, head towards State Highway 6. If you are in Greymouth, take SH6 southbound towards Hokitika. Continue on SH6 until you reach the junction with SH1. Merge onto SH1 and follow the signs for Picton. Once you arrive in Picton, follow the local road signs to Shakespeare Bay. At Kaipupu Point Jetty, you will find the entrance to Kaipupu Sanctuary.

If you prefer public transport, you can take a bus from various locations in West Coast to Picton. The Intercity bus service runs from Greymouth and Hokitika to Picton. Once you arrive in Picton, you can either walk to Shakespeare Bay (approximately 1.5 kilometers) or take a taxi to Kaipupu Point Jetty.
