Walking
If you are in the Whangarei city center, head south on Bank Street towards Rust Avenue. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with State Highway 1 (SH1). Cross over to SH1 and turn left, heading north. Walk along SH1 for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Russell Road. Turn right onto Russell Road. Continue walking for around 700 meters, and you will see Whangarei Quarry Gardens on your left at 37A Russell Road.

From the Whangarei bus station, take any bus that heads towards Kensington. Ask the driver to drop you off at the stop closest to Russell Road. Once you get off, walk down Russell Road for about 10 minutes, and Whangarei Quarry Gardens will be on your right at 37A Russell Road.

If you are cycling from the city center, start on Bank Street and head south until you reach Rust Avenue. Turn left on Rust Avenue and follow it until you reach SH1. Turn right onto SH1 heading north. After about 1.5 kilometers, turn right onto Russell Road. The gardens are approximately 700 meters down Russell Road on your left at 37A Russell Road.
