If you are starting from the Whangarei Town Basin, head east towards the town center. Walk along Bank Street until you reach the intersection with James Street. Turn left onto James Street and continue straight. You will pass several shops and cafes. Keep walking until you reach the intersection with Avenues. Turn right onto Avenues and continue walking. Mander Park will be on your left side after a short distance.
