If you are starting from the Whangarei i-SITE Visitor Information Centre located at 100 Commerce Street, head south on Commerce Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Bank Street. Turn left onto Bank Street and follow it as it curves and becomes Hatea Drive. Continue walking along Hatea Drive until you see the signs for Whangarei Town Basin. You will arrive at the picturesque waterfront area, which features stunning views, cafes, and parks.
