Car
If you are driving from Jinotega, head south on the main road towards Matagalpa. Follow the signs for Matagalpa, which is approximately 45 minutes away. Once you reach Matagalpa, look for the signs directing you to the Selva Negra area. You will need to turn onto the road that leads to Selva Negra, which is about 10 kilometers from the city center. Continue on this road until you see the entrance to Selva Negra on your left. Parking is available on-site.

Public Transportation
To reach Selva Negra by bus, go to the Jinotega bus terminal and look for buses heading to Matagalpa. The journey will take about 1 hour. Once you arrive in Matagalpa, you will need to take a taxi or a local bus to Selva Negra. Taxis are readily available outside the bus terminal, and the ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes. If you choose to take a local bus, ask the driver to drop you off at the entrance to Selva Negra.
