Car
If you are driving from Masaya Volcano, head south on the main road (Carretera Masaya) towards the town of Masaya. After approximately 10 minutes, look for signs directing you to Pacaya. Continue straight until you reach the entrance of Pacaya National Park. Once inside the park, follow the signs for Mariposario de Pacaya. The location is approximately 5 kilometers from the park entrance. Parking is available near the butterfly garden.

To reach Mariposario de Pacaya using public transportation, take a local bus from Masaya to Pacaya. Buses frequently depart from the central bus station in Masaya and will take you directly to Pacaya. The fare is typically around 20-30 Cordobas. Once you arrive in Pacaya, you can either walk to Mariposario de Pacaya, which is about a 15-minute walk, or hire a local taxi for a short ride. Make sure to ask the driver to take you to the 'Mariposario de Pacaya' as they will be familiar with the destination.
