Getting There

• Walking

  From the central park of Masaya, head southeast on Calle San Jerónimo. Walk for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with the main highway (Carretera Masaya). Cross the highway carefully and continue towards the small town of Catarina. You can ask locals for directions to Catarina if needed. After about 30 minutes of walking, you will reach Catarina's main square. Once there, look for signs pointing towards Sendero Los Mangos, which is located at WW9J+6GC. It’s about a further 10-minute walk from the main square, following the road signs.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  From the central park of Masaya, walk to the nearest bus stop on Calle San Jerónimo. Take a bus heading toward Catarina. The bus ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive at the main square in Catarina, get off the bus and look for signs directing you to Sendero Los Mangos, which is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop located at WW9J+6GC. Follow the indicated paths or ask locals for guidance.

• Bicycle

  If you have access to a bicycle, start from the central park of Masaya and head southeast on Calle San Jerónimo. Continue cycling for about 10 minutes until you reach the main highway (Carretera Masaya). Carefully cross the highway and continue towards Catarina. The ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you reach the Catarina main square, follow the signs to Sendero Los Mangos, which is an additional 10-minute ride.
