From Matagalpa, head northeast on Carretera Mat-Jin (Road to Jinotega). Continue on this road for approximately 14 kilometers until you reach Km 140, where Selva Negra Ecolodge is located on the right side of the road. Look for the signs indicating the ecolodge. Parking is available on-site.

From the center of Matagalpa, locate the bus terminal. Take a bus heading towards Jinotega; the fare is generally around 15-30 NIO (Nicaraguan Cordoba). Inform the driver that you want to get off at Selva Negra, which is approximately 14 kilometers from Matagalpa. The bus will drop you off near the ecolodge, and you may need to walk a few minutes to reach the entrance.
