From Matagalpa, head northwest on the main road (Carretera Mat-Jin) towards Jinotega. Continue on this road for approximately 30 kilometers. Look for the sign for Selva Negra Ecolodge at Km 140 on your left. Turn left into the driveway and follow the road until you reach the lodge.

To reach Selva Negra Ecolodge by public transportation, first make your way to the Matagalpa bus terminal. From there, take a bus heading towards Jinotega. Inform the bus driver that you want to get off at Km 140 for Selva Negra Ecolodge. The fare is typically around 50 NIO (Nicaraguan Córdoba). Once you arrive at Km 140, you can walk approximately 500 meters down the road to reach the lodge.
