Getting There

  • Car

    If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Somoto. Head southeast on the main road (Carretera Panamericana) towards the town of San Fernando. Continue along this road for approximately 11 kilometers until you reach the junction for Unnamed Road. Turn left onto Unnamed Road and follow it for 5 kilometers. You will see signs for La Rueda; follow these signs to reach the destination at the coordinates 89VX+J52, Chihuahua. Make sure to have a GPS or map handy, as some local signage can be sparse.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach La Rueda by public transportation, first make your way to the local bus terminal in Somoto. Look for a bus heading towards San Fernando; these buses leave frequently throughout the day. The fare should be around 20 Cordobas (NIO). Inform the driver that you want to get off at the junction for Unnamed Road. After about 20 minutes of travel, the driver will stop at the junction. From there, you can either walk for about 5 kilometers along Unnamed Road or hire a local taxi, which may cost around 100 Cordobas (NIO), to take you directly to La Rueda.
