To reach Roaring Fork Falls Trailhead from downtown Asheville, start by walking to the nearest bus stop for the Asheville Transit system. You can take the Bus Line 1 towards 'South Tunnel Road'. Ride the bus until you reach the stop at 'Asheville Mall'. From there, transfer to Bus Line 3 towards 'Swannanoa'. Make sure to ask the driver to alert you when you reach the stop for 'Highway 80 South'. After getting off the bus, you will need to walk along Highway 80 South for approximately 1.5 miles. The trailhead will be on your left at 208 Busick Work Center Rd.

If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Asheville. From the rental shop, head towards the Blue Ridge Parkway entrance via Town Mountain Rd. Follow the parkway towards Mount Mitchell. After about 12 miles, take the Highway 80 exit and continue south for an additional 3 miles. The Roaring Fork Falls Trailhead will be on the right. For those adventurous enough to walk, you can start from downtown Asheville and head northeast along Broadway St. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Tunnel Rd. Here, turn left and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Highway 80. Turn right onto Highway 80 South and walk approximately 7 miles. The Roaring Fork Falls Trailhead will be on your left at 208 Busick Work Center Rd. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water, as this is quite a long walk.
