If you are starting from downtown Boone, head south on King Street toward the intersection with Blowing Rock Road (US-321). Once you reach the intersection, turn left onto Blowing Rock Road. Continue walking on Blowing Rock Road for about 3 miles. Keep an eye out for the signs directing you to The Blowing Rock. You will eventually see a sign for The Blowing Rock on your right. Turn right onto The Rock Road, and follow it for about half a mile to reach The Blowing Rock entrance at 432 The Rock Rd.

To reach The Blowing Rock by public transport, catch the AppalCart bus that travels towards Blowing Rock. You can board the bus at one of the stops along King Street. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the latest times. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to Blowing Rock (ask the driver for the best stop). From there, it's a short walk to The Blowing Rock. Head towards The Rock Road and follow the signs to the entrance.
