Getting There

  • Public Transit - Light Rail

    If you're near the city center, head to the Charlotte Light Rail at the 'Trade' station. Board the Blue Line train heading toward 'I485/South Blvd'. Stay on the train for about 10 minutes and get off at the 'East/West Station'. After exiting, walk east on East Boulevard for approximately 0.5 miles, and you will reach Freedom Park at 1908 East Blvd.

  • Public Transit - Bus

    Find the nearest bus stop and take the CATS bus route 9, which travels along East Boulevard. You can board the bus at various stops in the city, such as the Transportation Center. After about 15-20 minutes (depending on traffic), get off at the 'East Blvd & Park Rd' stop. From there, walk north for a short distance on East Boulevard, and you'll arrive at Freedom Park.

    If you're already in the South End area, you can walk directly to Freedom Park.
