    To reach Mount Mitchell State Park by car from anywhere in the Foothills region, first navigate to US-221 N. Once you're on US-221 N, follow the signs directing you towards NC-80 N. Continue on NC-80 N for approximately 15 miles until you reach NC-128. Turn left onto NC-128, and after about 3 miles, you will arrive at Mount Mitchell State Park, located at 2388 NC-128, Burnsville, NC 28714. Parking is available at the park entrance, and there is no fee for entering the park.
