Local know-how to help you travel smarter and make the most of every moment.
Public Bus
From downtown Greenville, head to the nearest bus stop located at the intersection of Evans Street and 5th Street. Take the Pitt Area Transit (PAT) bus route that heads towards the Greenville Mall. You will need to transfer at the mall to the route that goes to the North Carolina 28739 area. The total journey may take around 50 minutes. Once you arrive at your stop closest to Triple Falls, follow the signs for a short walk to the trailhead.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in downtown Greenville. Head north on Evans Street, then continue straight to merge onto NC-43 N. Follow the bike lanes as you ride towards the direction of the waterfall. It's approximately a 12-mile ride, so ensure you're prepared with water and snacks. Once you get close, look for signs directing you to Triple Falls.
Walking
If you are in the vicinity of the Greenville Town Common, you can start your journey by walking towards College Hill. From there, follow College Street north until you reach the intersection with 5th Street. Continue on 5th Street and keep an eye out for signs pointing to the nearby parks. While walking to Triple Falls itself is not recommended due to the distance (over 12 miles), consider taking a bus or taxi after reaching a nearby bus stop.
Taxi or Rideshare
For a more comfortable and direct route, consider using a taxi or rideshare service like Uber or Lyft. Simply open the app, set your destination to 'Triple Falls, NC 28739', and wait for your ride. The journey may take approximately 30 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm with your driver that they know the exact location of the waterfall.
