    From Boone, NC, take US-421 S towards Wilkesboro. Continue on US-421 S for about 30 miles until you reach I-77 S. Merge onto I-77 S and drive for around 60 miles. Take exit 90 for Carowinds Blvd. Follow the signs to Carowinds, which will be on your right. There is a parking fee of approximately $20, so be prepared for that cost.
