Car
If you are driving, start by getting on US-321 N from your location in Mountain Region. Follow US-321 N for approximately 20 miles until you reach the intersection with NC-181 N. Take the exit toward NC-181 N. Continue on NC-181 N for about 10 miles. Then, take a left onto NC-183 W, which will lead you closer to Peak Mountain. After about 5 miles, you will find Peak Mountain on your right. Look for roadside markings indicating the trail entrance.

For those using public transportation, take the local bus service to the nearest bus station in Mountain Region. From there, you will need to take a bus to Morganton, NC. Once you arrive in Morganton, transfer to the bus heading towards Lenoir. Disembark at the stop nearest to NC-181 N. From that point, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service that can take you to Peak Mountain, as public transportation does not reach directly to the mountain's entrance.
