Car
From any point in the Mountain Region, head towards Traphill, NC. Use GPS or a map application and enter 'Stone Mountain Falls, Traphill, NC 28685'. Follow the directions to reach the Stone Mountain State Park entrance. Once you arrive at the park entrance, there is no entry fee, but donations are appreciated. Continue along the park road until you reach the designated parking area for Stone Mountain Falls. The walk to the falls from the parking area is approximately 0.5 miles along a well-marked trail.
Public Transportation
Public transportation options are limited in the Mountain Region. However, you can take a bus or shuttle service to Traphill if available. Upon reaching Traphill, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you to Stone Mountain State Park. Be sure to confirm the availability of services in advance and check for any costs, as fares may vary.
Walking
If you are already at the Stone Mountain State Park parking area, the trail to Stone Mountain Falls is accessible. Follow the trail signs leading to the falls. The path is relatively easy to navigate and suitable for most hikers, but be sure to wear appropriate footwear and bring water. The distance to the falls is about 0.5 miles from the parking lot.
